Knockalisheen Women’s Group
The Knockalisheen women’s group is made up of current and former residents living in Knockalisheen Direct Provision Centre. The women meet weekly in Northside Family Resource Centre. While membership can change the general premise of this group is to:
Build skills, personal and practical
Create social opportunities
To become more involved in their new community and create social networks
To create new opportunities for residents e.g. education
Celebrate all cultures
Build a knowledge of their new community and begin to build social resources

Knockalisheen Men’s Group
Knockalisheen Men’s Group has only recently formed and is made up of residents who reside in Knockalisheen Direct Provision Centre. This group came together to create positive experiences for men living in Direct Provision; to become more involved in the local community; and build up social networks and resources. To start with the group participated in Upcycling and Bike Maintenance.
