Creative Therapies

Northside Family Resource Centre has a dedicated therapy space for children aged 3 to 12 years.

We have partnered with Phoenix Creative Psychotherapy Centre who provide a team of fully qualified and experienced child and adult psychotherapists.

Our goal is to recognise children experience difficulties and upsets in their lives and there may be times when children need a safe and secure space to express those upsets through play, art and other creative means.

Due to their age and developmental stage children have limited language for their often complex thoughts and feelings. Creative arts and play therapies provide a free, fun and child centred space for children to communicate their worries and fears and learn mechanisms to cope with those feelings.

Play therapy

Our Therapists work with the children’s’ parents; family support workers; early years practitioners and youth workers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

For more information on our creative therapies or to book a pre-assessment for therapy for your child just call us on 061 326623 and ask for our therapy services or complete our confidential contact form and one of our team will be in contact.

This is a free and confidential service. Donations are never asked for but are gratefully accepted.
